JTB Events was founded in 2002 by Jan Blankennagel in Colorado with a simple promise: treat every event like it’s the only one. Over more than two decades, Jan built trusted vendor partnerships and a reputation rooted in heart, hustle, and hospitality.

In 2024, following Jan’s retirement, her nephew Justin Blankennagel assumed ownership—honoring the foundation she built while guiding the company into its next chapter. Today, JTB Events is proudly Texas-based, serving clients across Texas and Colorado with the same personalized, hands-on approach that has defined the company since day one.

As JTB Events continues to grow, the focus remains on thoughtful expansion—streamlining processes, enhancing client communication, and investing in modern tools that make planning seamless and stress-free. Meet Justin
Justin Blankennagel is an experienced event planner known for his calm leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to bring complex events together seamlessly. As President of JTB Events, Justin specializes in corporate events, nonprofit fundraisers, golf tournaments, and large-scale community gatherings across Texas and the Denver Metro area.

With deep roots in Texas and a strong background in both corporate and nonprofit work, Justin brings a practical, hands-on approach to every event. He is especially skilled at navigating tight timelines, managing budgets, coordinating vendors, and supporting boards and committees through the planning process—always with a focus on clear communication and realistic expectations.
Justin’s event philosophy is simple: great events are built on strong partnerships, thoughtful planning, and attention to detail. Whether working behind the scenes on logistics or collaborating with fundraising committees and sponsors, his goal is to make the process feel organized, transparent, and stress-free for clients.
Outside of event planning, Justin is deeply connected to his community and passionate about supporting organizations that make a meaningful impact. His professionalism, experience, and genuine care for the people he works with have earned him strong, long-standing relationships with clients, venues, and vendors.
