Our Story
JTB Events was founded in 2002 by Jan Blankennagel in Colorado with a simple promise: treat every event like it’s the only one. Over two decades, Jan built trusted vendor partnerships and a reputation for heart, hustle, and hospitality.

In 2024, following Jan’s retirement, her nephew Justin Blankennagel and colleague Darla Ransom stepped into ownership—honoring Jan’s legacy while expanding the company’s footprint. Today, JTB Events is Texas-based and active across both Texas and Colorado, offering the same hands-on service with expanded capabilities and modern tools.

Justin grew up in East Texas, where southern hospitality and community spirit shaped his passion for bringing people together. After years of crafting unforgettable experiences in Colorado, he brought his creative energy back home to expand JTB Events across Texas. With a background in corporate and non-profit event planning, Justin thrives on turning big ideas into seamless, show-stopping occasions. When he’s not orchestrating golf tournaments, charity galas, or corporate celebrations, you’ll find him scouting new venues, dreaming up bold ideas, and finding ways to give back to the communities he serves. For Justin, no detail is too small and no vision is too big — if you can dream it, he can plan it.
